Don't mind the straight face the tricycle man kinda pissed me off.
Dear diary as regular this diary section was meant for Saturday yet I couldn't get it together, had a considerable measure of projects to take care of therefore it being posted on Monday.
Dear diary it was wee hours of Saturday morning I woke up, headed to the kitchen without having a look at the clock nor checking why my alarm clock couldn't wake me up. Having trying to boil water, I took a quick glance at the wall clock and saw 3am. I began laughing and hubby woke up and asked me for what good reason I was laughing(meanwhile the giggling wasn't loud in any way, hubby is more similar to a Roe deer, They barely sleep) in the wake of disclosing to him he laughed at me. I had to go back to bed however I couldn't constrain myself to sleep as I would be seeing incredible people that very day, I chose to listen to the silence of the night as the clock tick and the crickets chirping, if there was a ceiling I would have tallied/counted it or perhaps opened the doors and check the stars and anticipate a shooting star so I could make a wish... lol see writer, back to reality, I held up to 5:30am it was as though the time couldn't come and was taking ages to reach no less than 60 minutes.I got up and went to prepare and while on it guess who was standing behind me? Alvin , he took the Roe deer from his dad, I tip toe at whatever point they are sleeping so I don't wake them up, despite everything they still wake up. As regular he saw I was occupied to him's it is possible that i'm preparing him for school or I'm going somewhere with or without him thus the following questions ensued:
- Mummy what are you doing?
- Is it time for school?
- Is today school?
- Where are you going?
I wasn't bold enough to face him and tell him I was going to a far place and I won't be taking him along, I tried to distract him with other things but he remained adamant. His father acted the hero as he chose to raise a story, Alvin loves to listen to stories especially the imaginary ones. While I prepare the food I helped him clean his tongue while he brushed his teeth, still at amazed how kids grow so fast. Gave him breakfast and went ahead to prepare for the Steem-lagos workshop 1.0 while on my makeup table he came back and started asking the said questions again but this time it was more like :are you going without me? I had to tell him the truth and he broke down in tears, I felt hurt and immediately promised him a toy. He stopped crying and allowed me to finish up with my makeup. Phew
I went out at 8:30am , took the first and second transport and in the wake of going to where I was to board another transport to Ikeja, some Army men where on their check point that I strolled passed a bicycle rider(okada man) who began yelling MADAM YOU'RE WEARING BIAFRAN'S CAP. Please my non Nigerian readers should please google about Biafra, cos a post of it might be be frowned at and can make an author loose their reputation score(being flagged). He continued yelling and I was already frightened as i was completely blank of what the Biafran colour looked like, that moment I started to shake as I realize what the military will do if truly I was wearing a Biafran colour. The military heard of it yet they didn't respond as I don't know why? I strolled by a vehicle and looked through the window and saw the Cap had an African drawing to it with a RASTAFARIAN flag colour, it wasn't near the said Biafran colour. I wanted to go back and slap that shitty man for calling me out and thoughts started running through my mind as the soldiers would naked and beat me up if truly I was wearing one. I wanted to go back and slap him, what if the soldiers don't really know the real colours of Biafra ? I would have been dead by now . All things being equal I looked at the time and noticed I was running pretty late.
I would like to stop here, and yes the Steem-lagos workshop 1.0 was magnificent, beats my expectations and I would share my experience on how everything went down. Hope to see you all tomorrow, in order to know how the Steem-lagos 1.0 went馃槏 believe me it was all fun and educative.
Ps: tons of pictures and videos coming your way pretty soon. Don't say I didn't warn you (evil grins).
How did your Saturday and Sunday go? Would love to know.
