Understanding Project : Project Management Series (I) [Learn with Me]
I was very much in thoughts that if I should really make this series or not as I am not an expert. However, having worked on different projects in different areas has really made me acquainted with the attributes of project management. So, I really made my mind to come up with the blog for sharing personal thoughts. Coincidentally, I happen to stumble on the post of @giantbear as well. I loved his thoughts on project management, and that really motivated me to come up with this series.
Overview on Project
A Project is a specific task with a special goal to perform at a specific time. The term specific really indicates having a clear idea of answering the reason of project.
Specific Task: The core idea of task performance is specific in Project Management. However, to make the core idea to bring into action different sub-task need to be performed. Those tasks are required to be performed by the experts, or scholars.
Specific Goal: The goal or outcome in a project must be specific. This must be completely understood by the management to maintain uniformity in actions. The specific idea of outcomes provides the check and control system of projects with respect to desired outcomes.
Specific Time: The project must be completed within a specific time. The time frame must be analyzed with the flow of the work and managed according to the requirement.
After having that clear idea of the project, it requires the performance. The performance needs to get forecasted with a road-map. Basically, it will involve your people, time-frame, budget, Quality control, coverage area, and resources.
Coverage Area: This is the dimension of the project that is likely to cover up. This will bring the idea of the required number of people, budget, or the time-frame.
Resources: The required resources like furniture, gadgets, e.t.c that is required to conduct the project. The resources are used by people to boost their working capabilities. Ultimately, creating the best project management.
People: The people are the assets of the Projects. The power lies on the ideas that get discussed, analyzed, and implemented. The need for skills, and ideas needs to be implemented from the right people.
Budget: The budget needs to be segregated for different strata of projects. The budget has important role, so the pre-research on your budget cost is a must.
Quality Control: The quality needs to be checked in respect to the desired outcome. The deviation on the idea needs to be monitored and managed as per the best outcome possible.
