Garden of Dreams

Garden of Dreams is an amphitheater garden built in 1920. Located in Kathmandu, the garden is decorated with beautiful plants over the soft textured neoclassical architecture. The pergola connecting each architect adds up the beauty to the garden.
While I enter into the space, beautiful modern architecture wrapping the garden provided an exquisite view. You feel lost in the sight as you look around the statues and plants. Every corner of the space has been lighted up with care and decoration. And, yellow color texture added the beauty of warmness in the sight. Meanwhile, the corridors to go through and stroll around are framed with décor plants to put you in the shade of sunlight.
It’s a warm delight
The caretakers were seen caring for the garden, as it looked like their daily routines. Mostly filled with young visitors; it was a place for some to get photographic moments while for some it was a time for artistic creation. They all were lost in their own activities. Situated in the busy street of Kathmandu, the place gets quite a visitor to come around, stroll, and have some good times with friends and family.
This section is the center of the space and feels like the center spot to put a showcase of something while people around the architecture enjoy the show. The amphitheater design looks so wholesome with this space
As you enter the main gate, you are likely to observe this at first glance. When you move towards the corner pergola comes up on your head giving you the shades of lights.
The garden is filled with pretty flowers with mowed lawns. Different plants from around the world have been used to provide vibrant decor to the whole arena. One would like to look into all the pots and their placements with beautiful plants. The placement of each plant is done based on where it blends with the architecture. Filled with different seating spots, but looked to have been occupied by the young ones. The fountains around the garden, make the overall look more picturesque. I could barely notice the decay plants and the place must have been looking closely throughout the time as an asset.
The mid-space is surrounded by a beautiful pergola and climbing plants. The caretakers and the security roam around this space to look around. After the Covid-19, renovations can be seen around the Garden of Dreams.
Young artists were having some quality time painting the space on the canvas.
The other section is this beautiful blend of pots and open space to walk along each side. One of the most beautiful spaces in the whole arena. It's a royal spot and the vibrant spot is truly kept in the way
The main spot is the most lively spot lighting up the royalness of the space. Garden of Dreams is likely reflected in this architect and feels as if it meant specifically a garden for this architect. The main biggest architect makes you look upon and be in the moment. Inspired by the western architect, the architecture was one milestone in the continuous uprise of similar architecture in Nepal during the times.
What I love the most about this place? if you ask, then it's the concept of amphitheater and beautiful architecture you can take your eyes on as you stand in between. Also, when you get the view of the mid-space from the architecture, it feels more lively in its own way.
I had been to Kathmandu almost a dozen times. But, this was my first visit to Garden of Dreams, it was exotic!
