While I was standing and pondering the architecture around me, it made me wonder about the time back in 15th century to 18 the century when the architecture was created. And visualizing the soldier surrounding the walls, craftsmen making the architecture, royals on their works, also empathizing the wars, pains, happiness these wall had seen, it gave chills to my spine.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a royal palace located in Bhaktapur town of Nepal. The palace was originally constructed in 1427 A.D by Yamaha Malla. Later, in 17th century, Bhupatindra Malla added the architectures.
The main spot provides a peculiar view of the architecture. The merge of Shikhar and Pagoda style provides the essence of medieval culture in Nepal.
55 Windows Palace
The palace was built in 1427 A.D. As it's name, the palace has 55 windows crafted with gods and godess pattern.
Vatsala Temple
Vatsala Temple was originally built in 1737 A.D. The stone made temple was destroyed by the earthquake in 2015. Later, it was recreated keeping the historical essence. However, the bell still exist in the form as it used to be.
Nyatapola Temple
Nyatapola Temple is a five storyed temple built around 1700 A.D. , and the name originally comes from the local Newari language which means five-story. It is the biggest and tallest pagoda style temple in Nepal.

The 2015 major earthquake in Nepal resulted in the destruction of old historical buildings. Here, he craftsmen are working to rebuild the fallen architecture
Bhaktapur Durbar Square has great food spot inside the arena. So, I explored and tried some of the local dishes.
Tha Potato fries with stick pierced in between was a cool looking thing to try. It is normal fried potato, the presentation was unique.
It's a blue Laphing . This is the dough/noodle rolled with veggies and spice. This was good. It was definitely a new try. It tasted like chunk of noodles had with good amount of spice and veggies.
This was just too good. Pani-Puri is a small puffed fried, crispy Puri(bread) with flavored masala water, and spiced mashed potato in the hollow space. It was just the best Pani-Puri I have ever had.
The view of the architecture with the historical importance, and the food hunt made me always stick to the place. However, taking all those views on my heart, I made my way back home.
A wonderful life-time experience.
