The onions appear to have grown larger since their haircut.
The green tops have started to bend down at the neck. This means they will stop growing and should be harvested soon.
Tomorrow I should manually bend all the others over too. So they can be harvested at the same time. (I could change my mind on that, we shall see.)
Because I want to store these onions for the next several months, I will wait about a week before pulling them. (Unless it is very rainy, and they get pulled earlier)
After pulling them out of the ground, they will be placed on my drying rack for 2 weeks or until the greens have dried.
Kept in a cool dark place they should last longer than store bought onions, up to 9 months; at least they did last year!
I started them from seed indoors during the month of March.
Our area has a chance of tornado tomorrow. . . Let's hope the weatherman is wrong! 馃槉
