We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil.
Being in unity with others, what an offer! How could you possibly resist! Precious substances and houses that are filled with spoil! What great joy! But beware reader, hidden in these words are hell, and death. When the world entices you to sin it doesn't offer you things like trouble and pain. Instead, it offers you success, friendship and pleasure. Your total ruin will be brought on by sin, because not everything that glitters is gold.
Let me give you a lesson in peer pressure dear reader. King Solomon warned his son that when sinners entice him to join in their folly he must reject them. Their promises of success and unity were also warned against. He also told his son to stay away from these people's horrible sins which included the judgement that would surely come upon them.
Rejecting ungodly friends is a large part of wisdom. In Scripture it is a common warning.
However for the safety of his son King Solomon emphasized it. Refer to below Scriptures.
A good parent will be vigilant to make sure they protect their children from the ungodly influences of bad or evil friends.
Men would not sin if sin didn't offer great pleasure, a motive that is desirable or great success. Eve thought that if she ate the forbidden fruit she could become like God. Samson was under the impression that Delilah would make him happy. Ananias and Sapphira thought they could be big givers in the church regardless if they could keep some of the money. Do you know what sin is reader? It is a deceitful lie!
Make no mistake if you sin there will be short-term pleasures, which might feel good or even taste good. But do not be deceived by being ignorant of the long term damaging consequences of sin!
Sin and lusts lie! They lie to you telling you the consequences will be small, but the pleasures will be great! The deceitful nature of sin and lusts are warned about in the Bible.
Tempting offers are made by the devil and his world. They seldom admit the following...
They tell you how to have your cake and eat it to by appearing as ministers of righteousness or angels of light. How deceitful ! Satan presents a popular gospel and oozing another spirit by means as coming as another Jesus.
Do not be deceived reader. Lusts lie! And sin lies! What will you do when you are laying down gasping for your last breath? Or when it is too late to undo your folly and you are convicted. You can believe two things today...
You choose, but choose carefully, for there are consequences dear reader that follow your choice.
