We travel to relax, to discover, to live the adventure or for the simple need of change. Any of these cases broaden our horizons, make us richer in life and experiences. They make us free!
In my last blog post I asked you where you thought I was going, and reading your answers now was pretty fascinating and inspiring!
The most frequent bet was Hawaii, and that was actually a quite smart one. Hawaii and the place where I actually traveled to have a lot in common!
Hawaii is the only US state composed entirely of islands, its diverse natural scenery, warm tropical climate, oceanic surroundings and active volcanoes make it a very popular travel destination for tourists, surfers, biologists, and volcanologists.
That's one in a million!
Now my home for the weekend also fulfills all of these characteristics. It's Las Palmas (Isle of Gran Canaria), the capital of Canary Islands.
My flight was only 45 minutes long, yet it took me into a completely different world. Now stay tuned for my travel reports, they're gonna be full of amazing, delicious and suprising experiences :-)
