Tonight, I'm speaking at one of the biggest events in Iowa, the Liberty and Justice Celebration. I wanted to share with you what I'm saying tonight.

오늘 밤 저는 아이오와주에서 가장 큰 행사 중 하나인 '자유와 정의 축하연'에서 연설을 하고 있습니다. 제가 하는 이야기를 여러분과 함께 나누고 싶군요.

I’m a parent. I have two young boys, Christopher and Damian, who are here with me in Iowa. And as a dad, I want to talk about something we don’t like to talk about, but many of us feel.

저는 아이가 있는 부모입니다. 아이오와에 크리스토퍼와 데미안 두 아이가 있지요. 저는 한 아빠로서 많은분들이 느끼고 있음에도 차마 말하기 어려운 부분을 이야기 해볼까 합니다.

There is a fear for the future. A fear that our kids, our grandchildren, and future generations will not be able to live the American dream. To put it simply, that our kids are not alright.

우리에겐 미래에 대한 두려움이 있습니다. 우리 아이들과 손자들, 그리고 미래 세대가 아메리칸 드림 속에서 살지 못할 것이란 두려움 말입니다. 간단히 말하자면 우리의 아이들은 그다지 좋지 않습니다.

We are in the midst of the greatest transformation in the history of our society -- what many experts have called the Fourth Industrial Revolution. And we cannot keep proposing the same failed solutions that got us here in the first place. It’s time for a new way forward. A new way forward that rewrites the rules in this economy to work for YOU, the PEOPLE of this country.

우리는 많은 전문가들이 4 차 산업 혁명이라고 부르는 사회 역사상 가장 큰 변화를 겪고 있는 중입니다. 그리고 우리는 처음 여기서 알게 되었던 실패한 해결책을 계속 제안할 수는 없습니다. 이제 새로운 길을 향해 가야할 시점입니다. 이 나라 사람인 바로 여러분을 위해 경제의 규칙을 다시 세우는 새로운 길 말입니다.

I've been giving families around the country $1,000 a month for months now. One of the recipients is a guy named Kyle Christensen, who lives in Iowa Falls with his mom who is recovering from cancer.

저는 전국에 있는 여러 가족들에게 몇 달 동안에 걸쳐 월 1,000 달러 씩을 지원해 왔습니다. 수혜자 중 한 명은 Kyle Christensen이라는 분으로 아이오와 폴스 지역에서 암 투병중인 어머니와 함께 지내고 있습니다.

I saw Kyle earlier tonight and before that on one of my last trips to Iowa -- and he seemed like a new man. He was beaming. After he used some of the money to cover expenses and care for his mother, you know what he used some of the money for? A guitar. And he was playing shows for the first time in years.

This is what our campaign is about, Yang Gang. We need a new way forward. One that will value us and our kids, and not the broken systems and companies that got us here in the first place. This is the hope we’re bringing to people all over the country.

양갱 여러분, 이것이 우리 캠페인이 하고자 했던 것입니다. 우리에겐 새롭게 나아갈 길이 필요합니다. 우리가 처음 이곳에 인도한 것처럼 망가진 시스템과 회사가 아닌 우리와 우리 아이들을 가치있게 만드는 방향 말입니다. 이것이 우리가 전국의 모든 이에게 가져다 줄 희망입니다.

As I called to thank donors for their contributions yesterday, I heard this hope. Folks who had never cared about politics before, never made a political contribution in their life, are now spending hours every week organizing for this campaign.

저는 어제 기부자 분들에게 감사의 말을 전하는 중에 이런 희망의 얘기를 들을 수 있었습니다. 전에는 정치에 관심도 두지 않았고 정치적 기여도 하지 않던 사람들이 이제는 이 캠페인을 조직화하기 위해 매주 몇 시간씩 보내고 있답니다.

That’s special, Yang Gang. That’s how we’re going to win. Building a wave of people from all walks of life and all over the country who are inspired to join us in tackling the biggest problems of our era. Building this wave big enough that no one can stop us. And bringing that wave all the way to the White House. Thank you for helping to build that wave with me.
