Well this is my first post here and I have been wondering what to start off with. I noticed that people focus various things that are near and dear to them. Such as cryptocurrencies, food. travel or something they are passionate about. The problem is I love food, I like Crypto and all the crazy stuff that is happening. The hacks, the FUD, the cool shit that is happening. I also love to travel and have a bunch of stories I would love to share and blog about. I like to push my limits as a person. I have backpacked across the world. Stuck into Tibet, wandered the Amazon. I love photography. I guess if I could sum it up I love the human experience so I am gonna bring it to you guys here on Steemit.
I am currently embarking on another personal journey on doing my own start up focusing on the how to improve the HR industry. I have no cash but I got lots of passion and with the internet filled with lots of useful information I believe all it takes it time and commitment to make things work so I will definitely blog about that as that goes along.
Everest behind me there from the Tibetan side
I recently wandered into Meditation and I am always grateful to my Masters (Vikas and Swami Rama and my mentor and best buddy Danny) and their Masters for bringing wisdom into my life and how it has made me a better person. Though I do slip up but that's ok too. People tend to think people who meditate never get angry or upset but that is not correct as meditation is about being conscious and opened minded to things that are happening to you.
A story from my Master
There was a man and he was very lonely and he thought to himself to get rid of the loneliness I will get a dog. So he went off to buy a beautiful puppy. When he took his puppy for its walk many people would come up and tell him what a wonderful dog he had. He became happy as he was getting compliments and he was no longer lonely as he had his dog and people were talking to him.
One day he took his dog for his usual walk. Now his puppy was no longer a puppy it had grown to a full size dog. It was powerful and strong and was beautiful. All of a sudden, his dog saw something in the distance. It got excited and started to run after the object it was interested in. Being a big dog, the Man found himself being pulled along. He yelled to his dog 'Stop" and his dog didn't listen, he tried to pull on the leash and to no avail. There just was no way to get this big strong dog to stop.
In that moment the man thought to himself "Am I walking the dog or is the dog walking me?"
So to is it with life, we often think that we are in control of things in our life but sometimes life is just life. It moves wherever it wants to go. We can yell at it try to make it go the way we want but its going to go the way it wants to go. Should the man let go of the dog? Should the man keep yelling at the dog in frustration? Should the man hold on and just hope the dog stops?
This is where meditation comes in, you have options, you can try different things but you have to accept the circumstances first. The dog in the story can be about your life, about your kids or job or even your desire such as crypto and your desire to get rich, are you in control? Are you conscious that these things are running your life or are you running them? Your desires and ego sometimes are stronger then you think as you feed it your emotions.
"Don't let the dog pull you"
This is buddy Billy, he's gone now but he was a blast, he taught me love, companionship and he will be missed. Sleep well my friend
