The way I see it, this need for crypto to follow anachronistic laws and rules and definitions goes against the reason crypto exists. It is a disruption event. It is meant to create new definitions.
What is money? Why is paper worth more than platinum? The fact is that these are all arbitrary definitions that can be changed on a whim. Systems that work only because they work. Not because they are the "truest" systems.
For an entity to try and dictate which definition is true. That entity must consist of consensus. Or fear. Or threat. But it is the entire consciousness that decides whether or not a definition is worth believing.
People have accepted crypto. It has just as much value as the hours you spend trying to earn a living. Asking the individual to explain why it has value is similar to asking the ant why it is working.
Value was not determined by individual choice.
