In a simple understanding, “Clone” is a duplicated version of an entity . Where one has a version of his or herself living and doing things. The question here is, how do we all feel towards having a clone? Is it something that will feel normal or something we see as overboard? A clone with one’s memory to live after death?
This is a sign that humans wants to become immortal , whereby, we clone ourselves to continue living when we are no more. How then can people feel the pain of their loved ones when they die or see death as the end of a human? The Bible has already said that God is the only immortal, although humans believed that when they die, they go to stay with the Lord, the giver of everlasting life. Especially, with those who had lived with righteousness .
I don’t think I will ever indulge in a thing like making a clone of myself with my memories just because I want to continue living after am dead. Then what is the essence of getting married and having children 👧 who will definitely take over from us as parents? And why then should we be hoping for generations to come if humans can make a clone that will carry on when they are gone?
We should also be asking ourselves questions like, who will the clone be relating with? Our families, friends or business colleagues ? Or will the clone have a different face that will entirely look different from us that will not remind them that am dead? We are talking of a human being here who has relations, and maybe a wife or husband, then children.
There is nothing like a human being that was born a child, who later grew into an adult. Went to school and has established an everlasting relationship with family where blood 🩸 is connected to, and people he must have worked with, did businesses with and shared memories. How will they relate to his or her clone because of memories left.
I said I don’t think to ever indulge in making a clone of myself because it looks scary 😟. People who knows am dead might see me as a ghost from the dead. I can only accept to clone myself if my family is involved, and this might be due to any serious health issues that might lead to untimely death. And knowing that my family will accept me being clone, as to still live for more years with them. But can this be ever possible by science?
We know humans are not sleeping. But we are talking of humans here in a clone. Many things are happening and we know more will come and add up to existing ones. Science is truly scary at this stage. We might know it, but I know there has always been no smoke with fire 🔥. This topic from #hiveleaners prompt is a sign we should watch out for because science is going so hard to achieve the impossible.
This is my response to the #hiveleaners featured content for week 230, edition 02.
