HIVE! Week 18, here we go! The show must go on!
Entry Title: "Broken String Blues"
So, firstly, please let me explain why I have my own guitar solo rather than the weekly theme. I am still looking forwards to the Disney theme for you all, but, I guess I've never been a Disney fan (for several reasons!) please don't judge me haha, and I know I won't be winning this week but I still wanted to take part!
Instead of reimagining a Disney classic I decided to stay true to my roots and deliver a raw, unfiltered blues guitar solo. "Broken String Blues" captures the essence of blues rock, filled with passion, grit, and a touch of unpredictability.
At 02:48, life throws me a curveball when I break a string mid-solo. But as they say in showbiz, the show must go on! I didn’t let a broken string stop me; instead, I embraced the challenge, turning it into a moment of spontaneity that embodies the very spirit of the blues—making the best of what you have, even when it’s less than perfect.
While the competition may be leaning towards Disney this week, my heart beats for the blues. I hope this piece resonates with those who appreciate the raw power of music and the determination to keep playing, no matter what life throws your way.
