I was so excited when I spotted this beautiful Swallowtail flying through my backyard. I have two very large Korean Lilac bushes that are in full bloom right now. I grabbed my camera and followed her to the Lilac bush.
To her delight, the nectar was so sweet and the fragrance amazing as it filled the air. She feasted on the nectar for a very long time. I managed to snap a lot of photos of her and decided to share them with you all.
I wish you could smell how delightful the Lilacs are. I only wish the flowers would last longer than a couple of weeks as they smell so sweet.
As you can see a lot of the blossoms are already turning brown and it won't be long before they are all done for the season. We are supposed to get over an inch of rainfall this week and that will finish the flowers off for sure.
