Raised Cold Frame

garden-coldframe-sunscape.jpg

The manure we put down on the raised beds a month ago has been mixed in well. I got the hoops on the largest frame to protect some of the early plantings I will do next week. I direct sowed some Rutabega, Turnip, and Beets along the outside edges of the entire frame. I will be planting sweet peppers in the entire center this year.

Gardens Prepped

I cleaned up all the leaves and a few weeds that had popped up. The onions I planted last year are growing strong. I am going to have my husband help me put up another cattle panel to support my Tomato plants. That may be on today's agenda as the weather is still going to be nice.

The Greenhouse

My plants are loving the sunny days and warmer temperatures. They are getting stronger and have grown a lot this past week. It is always exciting to see the progression from seeding until planting out. It keeps me busy during the day and we get to enjoy our own organic foods. It doesn't get any better than that for us.

Solar Lights

I put out all the solar lights yesterday. Wow, what a difference it made on the curb appeal of the front of our house, I love how they give a welcoming touch.

Welcome Flag

A brand new welcome flag went up too. I really love the bright, bold colors, and of course who doesn't love ladybugs? Well, that's all for today, my friends. May you enjoy getting your gardens ready as much as I did. Now, we wait for warmer nights to put out our veggie plants.

Until next time, this is Sunscape
