It always makes me happy when I see honeybees gathering pollen from the flowers. This bee was collecting from the Shasta Daisies blooming in the butterfly garden.
There are three large clumps of Shasta's, and the pollinators are in seventh heaven.
Look how loaded up with pollen this one is.
This is some sort of fly, and I found a few of these along with the honeybees.
I can't remember ever seeing one like this before, yet I'm sure they have been around.
Now that the zucchini are flowering, the bees will be busy pollinating the plants, so I will get lots of zucchini to eat this summer. I can already see three fruits forming nicely. Thank goodness for all the little pollinators working so hard for us.
