Can this little fawn be any cuter? This is the fourth time she has come to the yard to snack on a few greens. We have a small woods behind the house and I have seen her walking and one time lying down on the bank.
It was hard to get a clear photo of her so I decided to walk slowly off the porch towards her to get a few pictures.
She really surprised me and continued walking down the bank to where my blackberry plants are.
The berry plants were not what she was after but the Daylily blossoms. She literally ate every single one of them while I stood there taking photos.
Of course, I could see her momma standing nearby in the trees keeping a close eye on the little one.
After the Daylily snack she walked over to another garden to try some of the weeds that had taken over, lol.
Look who else has been appearing as well. This button buck is also one of the mother's offspring from last year. I see them together all year long wandering at the edge of the woods grazing on the foliage.
She is a pretty deer and I so enjoy seeing her bringing the fawn often to enjoy. It will be fun watching the little one grow up over the summer. Last year she had two fawns, a buck, and a doe and they were the cutest little things. They came to my gardens all the time to enjoy a nibble here and there.
Someday she will have her own babies to care for and I am sure they will visit the yard too.
Until next time, this is Sunscape
