If you were a seaman in the midst of a storm, this should be the most welcoming sign, to be able to see the beam from a lighthouse. Today we may have other devises and technologies, but the crude lighthouse is still functioning in many places as a safeguard to lives. We need these keepers who sacrifice their livelihood to man the stations. It is a wonder how they can withstand the loneliness in the deserted place.
