As a matter of fact that kid second from the right...there was a kid who hung out over at the park across from me with another kid all the time. He had that same hair cut the dude second in had. Always were the cool in dudes, wondering the neighborhood unattended. My oldest grandson use to ask why he couldn't go around the corner to his house and hang out with them and I use to get out of it by telling him your mom would kill me if she knew I was just letting you wonder the neighborhood. I also told him just because that's where you say you are going to be doesn't mean that's where you'll end up the whole time. A year down the road the kid with the look a like hair cut is six feet under. They didn't live over around the corner anymore, they actually moved into another area that was worse. Went hanging out over a friends house when they came across a gun, didn't think it was loaded and his friend pointed it at him and it killed him. It's not like when I grew up anymore, or you probably for that matter, so many kids out there that the parents just don't care where they are as long as they don't have to keep them occupied. My grandson was telling me a couple weeks ago his mom wouldn't let him go to a afterschool program because she didn't know anything about it. She also doesn't let him walk to the bus stop with other kids where I pick him up at even though he would get there sooner. I asked what the after school program was and he said it's where kids can go after school and do sport activities in the gym. I told him I'd talk to her to see if it was okay since it'd be all of another fifteen minutes of waiting after picking up his younger siblings. He said he just didn't understand all her concern about it and I told him it's hard to believe but sometimes you have to watch teenagers closer than an infant because they can be so easily misled.
