π‘ A warm embrace, where duty and joy merge into one day π³πΏβ€οΈ
Today, I'd like to invite you all to relax and journey with me on "an ordinary day"βa day filled with seemingly repetitive tasks, but within that repetition lies a different set of feelings every morning.
β Morning Energy and the Heart of the Home
Every morning begins with the fragrant aroma of coffee. I usually use this short moment to brew coffee to energize myself before starting the most important role of the day: taking care of my mother-in-law. Today, I prepared hot rice porridge with minced pork and egg, the aroma filling the kitchen. After that, it's a time of tenderness, from helping my mother-in-law bathe, doing physical therapy, and feeding her breakfast.
Even though it's a routine that requires patience and physical effort, when I see my mother-in-law's smile or the brighter look in her eyes, the fatigue usually disappears, replaced by the fulfillment of having fulfilled my duty as a daughter-in-law to the fullest.
π¦ A greeting from my little friend
After taking care of my mother-in-law, it was time for my four-legged and two-winged companions. The weather was perfect today; although there wasn't bright sunlight, a cool breeze provided a peaceful feeling. There have been an unusually large number of fallen leaves lately. I spent my time cleaning the parrot cages in both the front and back yards. This activity allowed me to be alone and observe their adorable behavior. Then it was the turn of the Sulcata tortoises. I took them for a bath to help them release uric acid. Watching them waddle around in the backyard lawn brought a smile to my face. The tortoises' slowness seemed to remind me to slow down and live more in the present moment.

The Journey to the Garden and the Mystery of the Tiny Egg
Before noon, my husband and I hopped into our trusty motorbike,
and headed towards the garden house. The sky today was clear and bright, without the scorching sun; only a cool breeze brushed against our faces. As soon as we arrived at the garden, we were greeted by an overwhelming troop of ducks, chickens, and geese that rushed towards us as if they knew it was mealtime.
We surveyed the post-flood damage. Traces of branches and debris floated in by the water made the garden look unsightly. My husband and I exchanged glances and began planning a big cleaning in the future.
Although we wanted to start right away, a voice in our heads reminded us of articles to write and unfinished work, so we had to put that ambition aside for now. But the highlight of the day was our egg-hunting adventure. We stumbled upon an unusually tiny egg, leading us to speculate that it might be a
cuckoo egg, perhaps secretly laid in a duck's nest. The thought startled me a little, because I'd previously collected tiny eggs like this to cook and eat (did I just secretly eat a bird's egg? Haha!). This time, I decided to take it back home to show the kids as an educational example.
ποΈ A Memorable Moment Before Saying Goodbye
On the way home, the lush green fields and rice paddies of my neighbors were truly therapeutic. Suddenly, a white egret, startled by the sound of my motorbike, flapped its wings and flew into the sky. I managed to snap a picture just in time... The image of the white bird against the dark green background was so free and powerful that I couldn't resist sharing it with my friends. Although my body was a little tired today, my heart was overflowing with joy from caring for what I love and the people I love. Our daily lives may seem the same every day, but if we observe our emotions and the small details, we will find that each day has its own unique beauty.
What about you, friends? What stories made you smile today? Feel free to share them! For now, I have to go finish some work. See you again in the next post. Goodbye! πβ¨
