Today is a bright and special morning because it's an important day for all of us Thais to exercise our right to vote for the future of our country. I woke up feeling excited early this morning. Looking out the window, I could see the polling station being set up at the school near my house. The atmosphere was already lively even before dawn.
π‘ Household Tasks: The Power of Care
Even though it's a holiday for many, a housewife's duties never stop. Before heading out to fulfill my civic duties, I quickly take care of my household chores, just like every day. This starts with preparing breakfast for the family, lovingly caring for my mother-in-law, sending my daughter to tutoring, and not forgetting to make sure my little pets are well-fed. I tackle the houseworkβlaundry, cooking rice, washing dishesβa little more quickly than usual because my mind is focused on exercising my right to vote.
π΅ To the Polling Booth: The Power of the People's Voices
Once everything was settled, my husband and I set off for the school. The sight was truly impressive. A huge crowd of people had gathered, all looking hopeful and determined to exercise their right to vote. This vibrant atmosphere made me realize that the collective voices of all of us have immense power.
π₯€ Refreshing Day: A Drink Seller's Day
After returning from the election, I immediately opened my drink stall, and it seems like today is truly my day! Perhaps it's because my stall is easily visible, the weather is quite hot, and everyone who came to vote is thirsty. My cold drinks sold exceptionally well today. Seeing customers smile after enjoying their drinks and feeling energized to continue their errands made me, as the seller, feel less tired too.
𧱠Non-stop work: Extending the joy in the backyard
It's lunchtime now, and business is slowing down, so I'm taking this time to write and share my story with you all. But my tasks for today aren't finished yet! A big project awaits this afternoon: extending the back of the house. Yesterday I ordered bricks, stones, cement, and sand, which the supplier is scheduled to deliver today. My plan for this afternoon is for my husband and I to tackle the construction ourselves, working together to create a warmer and more cozy home for us.
Finally, I want to say that in one day, we may have many roles and responsibilities, but if we do everything with intention and happiness, the results will always make us feel less tired. I hope that my story of living a simple yet determined life today will be an inspiration to some of you.
