About a month ago the coffee shop I was baking at went out of business. I had actually put my two week notice in a couple days before that announcement due a new opportunity that popped up, and here it is!
It's not mine ;) I may be loco, but I'm not a total lunatic xD
Here's the deal, I'm back at my previous employer, however, I'm working on his new side gig. He made a deal with a big contractor building some rather large buildings in my town to drop this bad boy in the build site for the next couple years.
I'll be running this truck from ordering food to cooking and managing the other cooks and I'm really excited.
I think we'll have a crew of four but we rally don't know how busy we'll be. There are a few hundred workers on site now but that is expected to be over one thousand by winter 🎉
Our opening menu is pretty straight forward since we're not sure how many folks we'll serve and the capacity of our truck.
We're doing breakfast and lunch, both with cold, grab-and-go items, and made to order hot items.
My goal is to get to a weekly rotating menu like this.
We'll see though, the truck just passed the health inspection yesterday and is still in the restaurant parking lot. I think we drop it on site Tuesday and start serving food Wednesday but we'll see...
Regardless when, it's happening soon and I'm pretty psyched!
Oh did I mention it'll be 10 hour days the first little bit 😂👋☠️
Take care friends and neighbors, talk to you soon...
