I recently posted about a trip I took into Portland for the kid's homeschool picture day. The post was more about my quest for an Oregon shaped silver bar than anything homeschool related but that mention of homeschool caught the eye of @homeedders, a new account trying to unite and encourage homeschool families (and those considering homeschooling).
They invited me to their discord server and made a nice comment about the post and I am glad they did. As a homeschool family, we are always on the lookout for new friends. Though it seems homeschooling is increasing in popularity it is still only practiced by a small number of folks so anytime there is a chance to learn from someone on the same path I try to take it.
I consider myself among the lucky ones. The fact that I am fortunate enough to be a stay at home dad and get to homeschool my kids is never lost on me. The decision to homeschool was not taken lightly and it is a bumpy road (just like going to school) but I am forever grateful to have this opportunity. That is why I want to encourage you, if you've ever thought about homeschooling your kids, even for a moment, think about it again. You can do it. Now I don't know your specific situation and I am not saying it is for everyone, I am saying that if you have thought about homeschooling then YOU CAN DO IT. Who cares more about your kids than you? For that reason alone, and I can say this from experience, it is worth considering homeschooling if you can.
Alright, enough about me. Thanks for stopping by and giving this a read and if you are new to steem or have not yet heard there is a group of folks minting a 1oz .999 fine silver round that I highly recommend you check out. It's super-cool steem memorabilia YOU CAN HOLD!!
