A lot my activity is not extra workout sessions that I add to my normal routine. Between work and family (and Steem), I don't have a lot of buffer time, so I have to be intentional with the daily activities that I need to do.
Before leaving from work for the house, my wife called me and said she was having problems with getting the lawn mower to run. I headed home a few minutes earlier to help her out and finished off the rest of my work day at home.
At 5 PM, I changed clothes and headed outside to help my wife. She is awesome by the way! Not afraid to work hard and has the biggest servant heart of anyone I know.
The following is the result of our labor - shorter grass and fairy straight lines.
Staying active is about being intentional:
- laps around the office parking lot
- taking stairs
- walking the long way around the grocery store
Sometimes the least efficient method from a time perspective, is the most productive method for increase physical activity. Thanks goodness for push mowers!
I want to hear from you.
- What daily activities help you achieve your fitness goals?
- Do you look for ways to be less efficient so that you can increase your steps?
