I had to look up what exactly cataplexy was, I wasn't familiar with that condition. I'm even afraid to ask them but from personal observation I would say that the wife and Shortie seem to exhibit signs of it. The last thing I want to do is plant a seed in their forest of health issues if you know what I mean.

Funny you should mention Stanford, that was one of her top choices on her list of colleges to go but now she has her sights set on some school in Australia. She better get plenty of scholarships lined up if she thinks she's going to go there. I'm not very keen on that idea knowing that she has medical issues.

Being out of state is one thing; being out the country is unthinkable to me. Oh, and you were correct, she knew about Stanford being the king of Narcolepsy but she wasn't aware U of I / CNS , her main "focus" is on EDS and I guess Stanford has some doctor / professor that is highly regarded and doing something with spinal fluid for EDS.

I bet you are 100% correct on the adrenaline , that is some potent stuff for sure.

My instincts lead me to think some type of deficiency when it comes to things like EDS and other diseases, and those deficiencies led to corrupted DNA that ends up getting passed down through the gene pool. Hell, it may have been some other disease or vaccine for a disease a couple generations back that ended up doing the damage.
Baylor College of Medicine has an ongoing EDS genetic study going that all of us are in, we had to go there a couple of years ago and have blood drawn so they could study it. They said we would be provided the results of the study when it concluded... I need the wife to check on that because as far as I know we haven't heard a word from them since they took our blood. Thanks for reminding me.
I might take you up on that offer of information as soon as I can think of some good questions.
