Oh, man. I did not know that.
Do they have cataplexy? I do. Roughly 50% of people with Narcolepsy do.
There used to be a really good EMail Narcolepsy group that was roughly organized through the Stanford Sleep Research Lab and I learned tons and tons through it.
There was a woman that was convinced that certain foods sparked symptoms and she reported her findings routinely. That group died when the internet changed and everybody went to web sites. I miss it. There were 4 motorcycle riders in the group and we were convinced that the full time adrenaline drip let us ride without any problems.
So. I'm sure Blondie knows, but Stanford is the world's foremost authority on Narcolepsy. University of Illinois Chicago Nursing School also runs a great department. I have actually donated my brain to Stanford-and they haven't claimed it yet :)
I know some things and I know some things that doctors know that are false. If I can be of any help or provide answers for any of your family all they have to do is have you tell me in our secret place :)
