I got a haircut last Saturday, it was well overdue. I've been told but haven't confirmed for myself that barbers here require two years of training before they can be licensed. So I'm guessing that it most likely correct based on the Florida requirements.
I felt pretty safe getting my haircut last Saturday despite the fact that it was a barber shop I had never been in before and I was the only white person in the place, I was out numbered by 12 to 1. I got some stares from both the barbers and clients but I didn't care and the guy who cut my hair and trimmed my beard did an excellent job.

I tipped him real well and when I left he told me "Your welcome here anytime sir, so I hope to see you soon".
He most likely will.
