Property taxes when first originated where only to be paid by banks if I remember correctly. But since the banks basically own the government now we all get the "pleasure" of paying them.
Not really sure if they are unconstitutional but I suspect they are. I just haven't ever dug deep into that subject yet since I have been focused on other aspects of law.
