Exactly right sir sultnpapper. I complain about this fact to Mrs.J. alot. No one really owns "their own" property anymore..like you said, we are just freaking renters.

I read an article a few years ago that claimed one could go through some legal and court paperwork to make it truly theirs by which the government couldn't take it from you but maybe that was bologna. Can't recall that was called but I suppose this "allodial title" is unavailable to us today?

Are property taxes unconstitutional? I bet if a presidential candidate had as their main theme to do away with property taxes they would win in a landslide!
