You need some brushing up Tom. Drop the "common"; why diminish your status by placing an adjective in front of it?
Plus don't claim to be a citizen of any thing be it state, or Republic or national.
Your just a "man" and that's what your Momma always told you.

Common law will work just fine for you... provided you keep it simple and don't start using any legalese terms, that is where people screw up. So you might want to brush up on things, maybe take a "refresher course".

Also, one other thing you might want to know.

Never speak to the "law man"; nothing good can ever come from it for you. I was told that by a detective friend of mine who works for local precinct constable office. He told me that he preaches that very things to his children and advised me to the same, which I have.

There are way to many folks in prison today who thought "they were just helping the cops" by telling what they knew about a certain situation. The next they knew they were being arrested and charged , despite the fact that they didn't have a damn thing to do with whatever it was.
