스팀을 시작한지 어언 7개월 정도가 되었는데,
스팀파워는 뭐고 파워다운 파워업 OMG.............................알 수 없는 것이었다...
스팀잇에서 해당 용어들을 검색해보았지만, 여전히 의문이 풀리지가 않아서 백서를 읽어보았다. 항상 기본으로 돌아가면 답이 있는 거 같다.
오늘 기본적인, 스팀/스팀파워에 대해 알아보기!
Steem is the fundamental unit of account on the Steem blockchain. All other tokens derive their value from the value of STEEM. STEEM is a liquid currency, and therefore can be bought or sold on exchanges, as well as transferred to other users as a form of payment.
스팀은 스팀 블록체인에 있어서 가장 기본적인 계좌 단위이다. 모든 다른 토큰들은 스팀의 가치로 부터 "가치"를 얻게 된다. 스팀은 유동성 있는 화폐이고, 따라서 거래소에서 사거나 판매할 수 있다. 다른 이에게 transfer 할 수도 있고 말이다.
Start up companies require long-term capital commitment. Those who invest their money in a startup expect to wait years before they can sell their shares and realize their profits. Without long-term commitment, a startup seeking to raise additional capital through the sale of additional shares would be competing with existing shareholders looking to exit. Savvy investors want their capital contributions to grow the company, but growth cannot happen if the new capital is given away to those looking to exit.
스타트업 회사는 장기 자본을 필요로 한다. 스타트업에 투자하려는 사람이라면, 보통 그들이 받은 지분을 팔아서 이익을 발생시키기 위해선 몇 년 정도 기다려야한다. 장기간 투자 없이는, 추가 자본을 위해서 추가 지분을 판매해야하고 기존의 주주들과 경쟁해야만 한다. 좀 욕심있는 투자자들은 그들의 자본이 회사가 성장하는데 도움을 줄 수 있기를 원하지만, 만약 새로운 자본이 나가려는 사람들에게 주어진다면, 성장은 할 수 없다. -> 즉 단기간 투자를 원하는 사람들이 있어서는 회사가 충분히 성장할 수 없다는 뜻.

Long term commitment of stakeholders also causes them to vote for long-term growth rather than short-term pumps. 따라서 커뮤니티가 장기간 플랜을 실행시키려면 장기 투자자들이 매우 중요하다. 이 투자자들은 단기간 펌프(pump)보다는 장기간 성장(growth)을 위해 투표한다. 암호화폐 세계에서는 투자자들이 이 코인에서 저 코인으로 단기간 성장만을 보며 왔다갔다 한다.
Steem wants to build a community that is mostly owned and entirely controlled by those with a long-term perspective. Users are able to commit their STEEM to a thirteen week vesting schedule, providing them with additional benefits within the platform. STEEM that has been committed to a thirteen week vesting schedule is called Steem Power (SP). SP balances are non-transferrable and non-divisible except via the automatically recurring conversion requests.
스팀은 장기적 시각을 가진 투자자들이 소유하고, 조절되어지는 커뮤니티를 원한다. 유저들은 13주의 주어진 기간 동안 그들의 스팀을 기여할 수 있다. 그리고 이건 플랫폼 안에서 그들에게 추가적인 이익을 가져다준다. 그리고 이 기간 동안 주어진 스팀은 스팀파워라고 불린다.
----> 스팀을 파워 다운(Power down)하게 되면, 13주에 걸쳐 스팀으로 바뀌게 된다. 이걸 말하는 것!
스팀파워는 자동으로 발생되는 전환 요구가 없는 한, 이동할수 없고, 쪼개질 수 없다.
This means that SP cannot be easily traded on cryptocurrency exchanges. When users vote on content, their influence over the distribution of the rewards pool is directly proportional to the amount of SP that they have. Users with more SP have more influence on the distribution of rewards. This means that SP is an access token that grants its holders exclusive powers within the Steem platform.
즉, 스팀파워(SP) 암호화폐 거래소에서 쉽게 거래될 수 없다는 것이다. 유저들이 포스팅에 보팅을 하면, 그들이 가지고 있는 스팀파워만큼 영향력을 행사할 수 있게 된다. 스팀파워를 많이 가진 사람이 더 많은 영향력을 가진다. 스팀 파워는 스팀 플랫폼 안에서 holder들이 영향력을 행사할 수 있게 해주는 토큰이다.
SP holders are also paid interest on the balance of SP that remains vested. 15% of the yearly inflation is paid to SP holders as interest. The amount of the interest that they receive is directly proportional to the amount of SP they hold relative to the total amount of vested SP across all users. Transferring from STEEM to SP is referred to as “powering up”, while transferring from SP to STEEM is referred to as “powering down.” SP that is powered down is returned to the user over a period of thirteen weeks, via 13 equal weekly payments, starting one week after the power down is initiated.
스팀파워 holder들은 SP 계좌만큼 이자를 받게 된다. 연이율 15%로 부과된다. 모든 유저들이 가지고 있는 총 SP양에 비례하여 이자를 받게 된다. 스팀을 스팀파워로 전환하는 것을 파워 업!, 스팀파워를 스팀으로 전환하는 것은 파워 다운이라고 한다. 이건 보통 13주 정도 걸리고, 1주가 시작되면 그다음주에 또 시작... 이렇게 된다.
스팀의 기본 배경이, "장기적 관점에서의 유용한 커뮤니티"라고 하니...뭔가 퍼즐이 잘 끼워맞춰진 듯한?
그러나 아직 이해하기는 어려운 것 같다! 계속 공부!!!
