After World War 1, Liberalist believed that Wilsonian democracy will thrive and the world will never face such crisis again. On the contrary, throughout 1930s we saw aggressive expansionism and failure of league of Nations. Realist dubbed Liberalist as Utopians. And the world witnessed Second World War.
Similarly, it was the height of optimism and resurgence of liberalism after Second World War when institution like UN came into being. However, global competition between the two blocks could not let the world thrive and survive. After New World Order, Fukuyama declared End of history but the world has witnessed more wars, economic competition and trade wars.
All dream of hopes shattered, when we witnessed the global nuclear order and nuclear proliferation in South Asia.
After the outbreak COVID 19, I personally believed that this might unite the world to avoid global conflict, but now it seems virus controversy looming large over the horizon.
That's why , I really want to know your perspective even if the prospect of peace is unlikely.
