Recently, there have been quite a few positions to fill at Utopian (where I'm working since October). For each position, I created a google form, to make it easier to filter out applicants. What I didn't expect was the fact that apparently, it's not that easy to fill out a form ...
One of the problems was follow up questions, that belonged together. "Have you contributed to Utopian before?" "Yes."
Awesome! In that case, the person can certainly link to those contributions, so I can check them out, right?
Nope. Apparently not.
Well, okay. That can happen. But someone who's (presumably) on the Utopian discord server, and applies for a position with Utopian, knows what Utopian is about, right?
I have to admit, they're not wrong. Not entirely at least. I still would have liked an answer that's a bit longer.
Maybe that's their weakness, writing longer replies. Who knows?
It's certainly not this guy's weakness. He doesn't have any. Point a gun at his head, pull the trigger, and the bullet will just bounce off. You can't kill him, you can't hurt him, he doesn't have any weaknesses. He's unstoppable. He has already hired himself.
Okay, enough of our undefeatable applicant, let's move on to the last two: The Optimists.
Ever felt like you might not be qualified, but you apply anyway?
Just apply. Nobody needs to know why you applied, as long as you can convince them of your abilities with the help of an exclamation mark!
And if everything else fails, just be available. Always. Everywhere. For everyone.
