The United Nations World Food Program sent crypto cash checks printed on ethereum blockchain to refugees in Syria. With the platform created, crypto coins were delivered to a total of 10 thousand people.

The technical part of the project is named Parity Technologies. Parity Technologies is headed by Gavin Wood, founding partner of Ethereum.

"The money sent to the refugees was primarily used to buy food items. With the success of the project, the World Food Program (WFP) plans to expand the scope of the project to reach 100,000 people in Jordan by the end of 2018. "

On the other hand, BlockChain's success will not be limited to that. The United Nations plans to develop more blockchain-based projects in the future. The UN's new aim is to send more aid to countries affected by natural disaster with BlockChain.

Blockchain wave

Blockchain projects planned by the United Nations show once again that Blockchain technology has the potential to influence the whole world in a real sense by making the flow of operations more efficient and secure.

Oracle's report confirms this. According to the report, various sectors and institutions will definitely be affected by innovative blockchain technology.

Some of the sectors that are thought to be positively impacted by Blockchain technology are the healthcare sector, the energy sector and, more importantly, the world governments. We can state that both sectors as well as governments are listed: The flow of money transactions with Blockchain can be made both more efficiently and more securely. This may lead to a reduction in the inconsistencies observed in funds. That's why governments around the world can make a breakthrough in blockchain, especially in payments.

It is expected that more industries and companies will adopt the blockchain by increasing the number of projects that will be implemented by the institutions that are already considering using blockchain technology.
