Thor is the Scandinavian god of the lightning. Son of Odin and Jörd, it is one of the main gods of the Scandinavian pantheon. His wife is Sif, the goddess in the golden hair with whom he had a girl Thrud. However he has other children: a son Magni whom hehad with the giant Jarnsaxa, the second son of the name of Modi of an unknown mother and finally the beautiful son Ull, who is the son of Sif.
Thor is the biggest warriors and so to speak, most hardly. He possesses 3 objects that they make him even stronger: hishammer Mjollnir with which he reveals the lightning, his iron gloves Jarngreipr which are of use to him to use his hammer, and finally, its belt Megingjord which grants him some additional strength.
Other importing(mattering) element, he possesses a tank pulled by two billy goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr Which(Who) have a small peculiarity, but really every girl, it is that he can make them roast to eat them, then bring them in back to life bless the bone and the skin with its hammer, one might as well say that at the Scandinavians, had to it not have a lot of famine there.
Thor is not the god the most known for the just Scandinavian mythology because he is the son of Odin, or maybe that so keeps it short there, he is the most known because he has a very important role in the Scandinavian mythology, indeed, his job(work) it is to protect the gods and the men(people) of the threat of the giants because in fact, the giants are the worst enemies of the gods and consequently it is the defender of Midgard, the fortification built by the sons(threads) of Bor, which surrounds the world.
There is a difference between the Scandinavian gods and the Greek gods, the Scandinavian gods are mortal. Indeed, and almost all die during Ragnarökok so called END OF THE WORLD. Whereas Odin delivers a fight persisted against the wolf Fenrir, Thor he, undid the snake of Midgard and kills him(it), however the poison of the snake rependant in the veins of the god, this one dies a few moments later.
