Out of the ashes of Day 1 of the Steem Wars comes first sorrow....
For one of our brightest officers, Major @scarletleonard of the 30th Lincolnshire Pyromantic Rangers, was mistaken for an American. No greater affront has been suffered by Her Majesties forces since that time when coffee was served in the Officer's Mess instead of tea. The poor victims of the vile terrorist plot are still undergoing councelling and may never be the same again.

Then anger...
The only good Aussie is a subjugated Aussie... Well except for Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson... oh and Kylie 'that bum' Minogue (Quick Fact: I share my birthday with those heavenly buttocks - and the rest of her too!)... and we quite like Hugh Jackman. Then there's Chris Hemsworth, he's okay. Heath Ledger was amazing but well, he's no longer with us (too soon!). Isla Fisher helped many a chap through his teenage years but then her parents are Scottish so she's not a real Aussie. There might be one or two more... maybe...
In London
Her Majesties government reaffirmed that Britannia does indeed Rule the Waves, British sailors do indeed have Hearts of Oak and the British Grenadiers are beyond compare to the great heroes of old.
Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Drop Bears and all the odious apparatus of Aussie rule, we shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.

Know your foe
Every day British Scientist are looking for new ways to kill Drop Bears. Your average Drop Bear isn't too smart, you can blow off a limb and it's still 86% combat effective. Here's a tip - hit it with War Tubas and put it down for good!
War Tubas you ask? Well, the brain-child of Professor Elemental (Note: He's a steampunk hip-hop artist with some VERY amazing songs - please check him out here: https://www.professorelemental.com/) and his eccentric monkey butler, Geoffrey, this curious invention amplifies and projects offensive sound waves at the enemy, rendering them senseless and, curiously, makes their hair all long and wavey.
Poison -
Obviously no classical composition could be vile enough to generate this monsterous impact so the Department of Temporal Studies have fired the boilers, opened the steam valves and engaged the chronomatic de-stabilisers. The result is a cacophany of meaningless noise that could drive any mere mortal insane. Of course our troops are protected by not only their British spirit, hearts of oak and stiff upper lips but the latest in audatory protection.
Thus far they have determined 4 distinct types of ammunition for the War Tubas. They are presented below in a heavily waterered down version which should only cause mild nausea.
1 - The appropriately named "Dead or Alive" performing "You Spin Me Round". This ammunition is non-lethal and affects the inner ear (obviously!) causing loss of balance and direction. The victim begins to spin around, like a gramaphone record, before falling to the floor.
2 - The "Ghost Town" performed by "The Specials" inspires fear and dread. Prolonged exposure leads to hallucinations and spectral visions of the recently deceased.
3 - The "Charming Man" performed by "The Smiths" has the most perculiar affect, especially to the modern Victorian man who may be deeply disturbed by what it's victims are forced to do. It affects the part of the brain controlling love and desire, causing the first man they see to appear as "Charming" and for infatuation to set in. It affects men and women and has been seen to lead to scenes of debauchery on the battlefield. Only to be used in dire circumstances.
4 - "Come on Eileen" by "Dexy's Midnight Runners" is the most disturbing of all. We believe this weapon may be a killer of giants and too powerful for actual use. While we cannot go into details on the affect it has I believe the name of the song conveys what occurs and that anyone named Eileen should lock themselves in their homes, alone, and wait the war our in isolation.
Doing their bit
Up and down the British Isles children are doing their bit by hanging upside down from climbing frames. They are aclimatising themselves to Australia and getting used to being upside down. Are you doing your bit?
British Air Navy Fleet
Battlegroup Prince of Wales, the largest "lighter than air" Aeronef battlegroup in the British Navy, is advancing on the South Pacific to engage Australian Trading vessels along with merchant ships from the East India Trading Company. The East India Trading Company is seeking riches in Her Majesties name while the Royal Navy is her in defense of the realm. Here is one find fellow looking to expand his holding in Barbequed Shrimp, his only comment was "Yum Yum".
