I enjoy when we see a different side to the magical folk. Often it is the humans that are being tormented by the magical, but in your story, we see that evil is not just one-sided. There are plenty of humans who would do everything in their power to harm others for their own greed. Sad to see that the one good human gave up his life in order to restore balance, but this often happens in real life also. Wonderful story!
