Here is my CV (Introduction)
Hello world, meet me: Storicious. One thing, I can assure you of is that I am a human being. On gender basis, I was given the role of a male. My real name is something which I keep private. It does not mean, I have any hatred toward it. I just want to keep my personal life "personal." I just want to be a nobody in this world of everybody.
Enough of deep(less) yapping.
I have done BS English in Literature and Linguistics. At first, I was scared of big novels, plays and dramas. And guess what? I love these stuff the most. Just today, while everyone was shopping for some clothes; I was purchasing books. I got myself, "The White Nights" by Dostoevesky. Though, I have already read this one, but it was a virtual read. So, it means that I love to collect my readings.
Furthermore, maybe because of this literature thing, I am in search of "meaning for life." And not to try any Gen-Z's aura thing, I am still in search of it. That is why, whenever someone ask me about it, I just say - I am a dead fish. I will go wherever the flow takes me. But there are few things which I control, such as my wish for Audi A6 and be successful. For the Audi A6, I once saw it in my childhood, since then it is my favorite. Next time you think of loyalty, remember me. HEHEHE! And for success, I do not know for sure what actually it is. But, at least, I have my own definition for it, not the one given by society. Apart from this, I enjoy football. I am really passionate about it since childhood. Travelling is something which I enjoy, but I prefer right company for this sort of stuff. Because, I am a staunch believer of comapny making the places beautiful. Well, I guess that is all I can put in my CV for now.
Speaking of company making places beautiful, I am from Vehari, South Punjab, Pakistan. A small and peaceful city. It is quite populated, still I can assure you, every market place will result in a meeting with someone you know.
On to the next one.
It has been one and half year, maybe few months ahead. And I do remember my very first post. Recently, someone commented on it, and even I was ashamed of myself back then. Lol! Like how fast the time changes. My writing style has changed a lot. My thought process has changed, other than few exceptions. I used to go to the gym regularly, now I find it near to impossible to go. Back then, I used to watch Netflix all day long. Nowadays, I cannot even watch two or three episodes.
Most importatnly, it was flagged as "Chatgpted." There is a reason behind it. I will continue this part in the next portion. SUSPENSE!
Me finding Hive
Now this part is the most exciting one for both - writer and reader - parties. Though, I have talked about it previously, but exciting things can be repeated again. I hope we all agree at this point.
Let the story begin. During my undergraduate days, where everyone was figuring out everything about their lives ahead. At that moment, we were busy discussing about the upcoming exams, and then, there were two of us, not taking anything serious. Because, both of us were (still are) bright students: full attendance, notes prepared, and bright in the lecturer's eye. So, it was an easy task for us. At that time, I was writing on Medium; I was a newbie with little experience to express myself properly. My ideas were half-cooked, just like my English. In my local language, it was way easier to communicate, but English was acting as a hindrance for me. It still does, but I have been doing way better than previously.
After some discussion about exams, the topic shifted to: future plans. Everyone just gave out their plans, majority going after competitive exam. A high rewarding post with perks enough to be considered as an elite-class. When my turn came, I said the same thing. Because I was not in any mood to say something like a "dead fish." They would have never understood it. Along with writing on Medium; I was also doing part time tutoring. I have loved it since day one. I am teaching, learning and resulting in greater change for the overall world. By far, everything was pretty normal. Then an angel spoke. She said that I should try Ecency. I accepted it instantly. Being a narcissit, it may come as a surprise for everyone. However, just because she said it, I accepted without any questioning. And rest is history.
She acted as a tree for my Hive. She contacted the one who introduced her to Ecency. That person made my account. She sent me the keys. Next day, she helped me with my first post. Right after that she helped me with my second post. I can proudly say that she is the reason behind me being on Hive. Alas! She has left Hive, and now she has a job to look after. Whenever we get to talk, I always think of thanking her, but I do not know what words will be appropriate. Perhaps one day, I will be able to do so. So that is the story behind me joining this platform. I call it "FATE."
Pros
Being honest, Hive has way more pros than cons. And I do not even have to try flattery thing. Personally, my thought process has changed a lot. I have connected to way lot of people from different regions, with different perspective and interests. The people here are just so kind. Even when someone disagree with me; they are completely polite about it. Moreover, the best thing, as I name it is: L-earning. I am learning and earning at the same time. Of course, somewhere in between, I am also teaching something from my part of the world. In this capitalist society, earning is the bestest motivation for all of us. Just yesterday, I made a comment and said that for me Hive is more like a future investment. I already have enough food on my table, a roof over my head, and good clothes to wear. So, I am already enjoying a luxurious life, with my own perspective of success. Hive being a future investment is the reason behind me staking every bit of it. And this staking thing, as per the capital earning, is the bestest benefit of it. I am growing, but at the same time, this whole community is getting benefit.
Oh yes, I have gotten addicted to writing on Hive. It is 2:00 AM right now, and I am writing this piece. I was travelling all day long, as I am on vacation. But, I could not sleep without sharing something.
Cons
By far, you may have realised that I am not a strong supporter of this capitalist system. I do acknowledge that it is the most realistic system. But, I hate the all profit mindset. This is where, I believe Hive has a problem. Last month, I became a curator for topcomment service. One of the finest on this platform. Because, no platform can grow without significant and genuine interaction. And through previous and that experience, I think that most of the comments are for capital purpose. Not everyone but many of the comment seems forced, more like comment farming. Another thing is reblogging without reading. Like common dude, at least read it. I have seen people reblogging tons of posts within short span. Literally spamming it. Yes, I can remove those reblogs, but the thing is read before sharing. Do not think that this spamming will result in capital earning.
Invited
I have invited three of my close friends. Nothing serious to discuss about this point, because they are here. I do help them a lot with everything. But I always tell them to be "YOU." Find your own voice, your own style, your own niche, your own circle, and the list goes on.
In the end, I guess I have yapped way more than I initially planned. But if you have made it this far, thank you for listening to my unnecessarily long introduction. I think I have covered almost everything, so I should probably stop here before it starts to feel like my autobiography. See you around on Hive!
Note: Hive price do scare me, but I am here for a long-term, so I am hoping for a better future ahead.
