Personal Experience
It is been a year and a half since Ecency has become a part of my journey on Hive. And, to me, Ecency is the Hive, no offense to any other platform. But I was introduced to Ecency, and later on, I found out that Hive is the general concept with Ecency being a part of it. Like many users, I do not simply use it as an appli; it has become a place where I publish my ideas, I interact with others, discovered a bunch of new ideas, all this while earning some sum. Isn't it great?
(There is hope even in the darknes)
However, when we use a platform every day, we cannot take its existence for granted. We often focus on the content we create and consume, while overlooking the broader things: infrastructure, development, maintenance and support that make the experience possible. Behind every smooth interaction there are people dedicating their time and effort to keep it operational. Also, coming from my experience, they are supportive and friendly in all manners. Of course, they do earn from it, but it is the demand of everyone. We live in a capitalist society.
Ecency has proven its commitment to Hive
Personally, I want to see Ecency move forward, not backward. And once again, growth requires resources, and innovation requires support. If we want better tools, smoother experiences and stronger onboarding for future users, then we must recognize the value of the projects that are already delivering these things.
Of course, the result of this proposal is largely dependent on stakeholders with significant voting power - known as the Whales. Because they have the ability to make a meaningful difference through their votes.
However, I cannot pressure anyone into voting a certain way, nor I have the right to do so. Every stakeholder has the right to make their own decision based on their understanding and priorities. What I can do is share my perspective and contribute in the ways available to me.
Moreover, on some friendly questioning, I found out that everyone can play a role in supporting the proposal.
First one is by voting the proposal. (Attached the Waves post from reliable source)
All small, medium and large owners can support by adding 2-3% beneficiaries. We are not talking about an ocean; even a drop matters.
Spread the words.
That's all I can say, because I am still a newbie in this world of Web3.
How to add beneficiary on app:
Open the pre-posted/drafted version of the text and click on the gear ⚙️ type setting icon, on the top-left corner.
Next right on front, you will see beneficiaries.
Click on add account, and write ecency and percentage you would like to share.
Click done, and it's done!
How to add beneficiary on desktop:
Open Ecency, go to the writing (editor mode). Just right next to continue, there are three-dots. Click on those dots, and you will see beneficiaries.
Next ahead, beneficiaries part is clearly visible.
And almost done.
Add ecency and percentage, and once again, all done.
That's all for now, because this all I know about it. In the end, final decision is all your to take.
