I was the best when it comes to board games. I was the best in Scrabble games except for Chess. Anytime my mates in the school needed anyone to train them for board games, I would be the best choice even the whole teachers knew me for that aspect.
I can say that I was born with it because I had no or less training on the board games. My English teacher is always funds of playing board games except for Scrabble games. He has been calling me to teach him how to play it, but I'm each of our play, I always showed him that I'm now the boss (teacher), just like he's my English teacher.
One day, he had already practiced and had been taught somewhere in how to play Scrabble. To me, I knew I can beat anyone who comes my way.
He challenged me to play the game. Although, it was more than fun. He said "if you can beat me, I will give you 10 marks for free out of 15 marks in our test. When I heard this, my ears widen to grab the free marks.
He fixed a date and made it a sport period. All the students had gathered as my classmates had been informed. I brought out the game and we started playing. Although, he picked first as he selected a letter B, while I selected a letter Q.
His first move was superb. I was selecting lower letters, like letters E, A, T, L, I. The only higher letter I was having was letter K. I played little game that gave me just 6 points while he got 25 points. Everyone began to hail him, and we're raining out praises on him. His head began to swell, and he was smiling to the last level.
He selected five letters with alphabets I did not know. His second move was killing. This time he played a word that gave him almost 48 since he played in the double word box. My second move was just 4. He was leading me with tangible number of points which ordinary player cannot pursue.
My third picked was letter H and letter W as well as I. I read my game and checked my tiles with the board read. I found out that my points increase will start right from that moment.
He played and got another 30 points. When I played after arranging my game, I was having a bingo. I placed it in a position that gave me tangible points. Now, I got 49 plus the bingo making a total of 99 points. Everyone shouted and began to hail me.
After series of play, he turned out to lead me with 10 points. I was just laughing. I had tons him that I will allow the gap to be just a little.
I gathered my games properly and got another bingo to finish the game. My scores with the Bingo gave me about 156 points. I played it where we have triple word score. The gap I gave him with just too clear. The students were so happy, but then, he was my English teacher, and I had to hold my laugh. It was fun, but the reason was just for the mark. Yes, I got my 10 marks without questioning. I showed him that game is game and there is a master in games.
