STOP CHASING YOUR OPPORTUNITIES AWAY 2.0

This is a continuation of the STOP CHASING YOUR OPPORTUNITIES AWAY post from yesterday.

Okay, lets continue from where we stopped. I listed a few things we do that keeps opportunities away from us and we saw that all of it had to do with people. By now we most have known the "people" are the keys to the opportunities we seek I. E the society and how we interact with each other matters a lot.
Below are the things I mentioned yesterday, with a little explanation attached to them.

1. PUSHING PEOPLE AWAY :
   Like I said earlier, people are opportunities and you can't get what you seek with having to interact with someone. I know people can be a bone in the throat sometimes (most times) but we know we can't survive without them so we just have to put up with them. If you are so much of an introvert, you look at interactions as a necessary evil (idc) because you have to be successful. Also you don't have to worry much because you can drop them after you're done with them (this is morally wrong).

My personal- while I was in school, I had this really brilliant guy as a friend. He was weird (as most of them are) but he was my friend and somehow I began to understand his weirdness and he is really an awesome personality. Back to the point, he talked a lot (probably because I was the only person he could talk to) and I was not a fan. I could have dismissed this guy but luckily for me I didn't, now guess helped pass biology?
It might seem little but he was the source of my success in biology through out school. I wouldn't want to think about the troubles I would have gone through with that course if I had pushed him away.

I guess the lesson here is you don't have to like the person but have to be nice to them at least because you never know how they can help.

1. HUMILITY :
   We're supposed to know how important this one is. Almost every religion teaches humility. This is kind of an extension of (1)above. In other to accept people and treat them as you should, you would have to humble yourself.
   Let us never forget that everyone no matter how small or big, has something to offer. The poorest man can also help the rich man and you know you can't get that help unless you bring yourself down to the level of the person offering you that help.
   My fellow Nigerians would understand this statement "I no fit help her, she too they form". And my fellow Christians are aware God uplifts the humble and brings down the proud.
   Humility actually costs little to nothing.
