It becomes very apparent just how much you can love something when you realize how much effort is put into it. Thankfully, I am not alone in this endeavor. It has been a few short years that many of us have been putting in the work to help our city obtain an identity. It certainly feels as if it were a constant ascent with unpredictable obstacles. Nonetheless, being artists or fans of art, we persist in developing an artist culture. That is not to say it hasn't been tried before. Others have come, tried their best, and then dissolved. Maybe it was timing. At this point in time, various groups, such as our artist collective, along with other art entities, and strong networking assisted the process. Whereas each of us had our own niche, we still found it necessary to work together. The photo above is from a talented photographer, Michelangelo(http://michelangeloflores.com/index1.html and Facebook), that always has a unique perspective he brings to the table. He captured this behind the scene moment of just a few of us that helped with this build. These were the early days of an anticipated gallery that many of us creative individuals needed. It became a hub worth bragging about.
