Another sunny Sunday ahead, and 30 races across 4 meetings make up the action today. Two in Ireland, and two on England, with Listowel in Ireland kicking it all off at 13:35
Recap - Saturday 3rd June, 2023
I mentioned yesterday that the majority of tipsters were focused on the Epsom meeting for their picks. I dug a little deeper into that and found that of the 54 tipsters involved in the seasons race for top tipster, 44 of them had chosen a runner at that meeting, whilst 21 had of them had covered 7 of the runners in the same race - The Derby itself. The most NAP'd runner was Military Order with 5 tipsters picking it. Unfortunately for them it finished dead last of the 14 runners. 3 of the tipsters did manage to land the winner Auguste Rodin, whilst 3 others bagged winners in other races.
Our own selection, NAP'd by 3 tipsters, was fourth having been boxed in for much of the early running up to 3f out. Bumped with 2f to go looking for a way through the pack and made some headway towards the last furlong challenging for third, but had nothing left to give when overtaken in the last 100 yards.
Tipsters Standings
After day 3 of racing in June, we now six tipsters vieing for top spot, which usually would mean six bets being placed. However, four of those six are backing the same runner,and another I've discarded as his runner is in the same race as those four, so we have ended up with just the two bets for today.

A much easier task of where to place the bets today with jut the two tipsters having gone 2 for 2 at this early stage of the month.

An 11 time winner, including 7 times in Chases, which todays race is. However, his last win was back in July 2021. This year has two 3rd places under his belt, with today's jockey, and seems to go well on today's ground with 12 wins and 4 places. A step up in trip from his most recent races, and with only 4 now going to post, in with a definite shout. Once again the pesky rule 4 deduction may impact on returns, as it was the likely favourite who has withdrawn.

Three wins in last three outings, Dec '22 - Jan '23, including one at this distance and twice with today's jockey on board. Steps down in trip for this one. Seven runners in this one with only Port Lynas seeming to be a real challenge on the basis of form.
