Beautiful and majestic all at the same time, such history, so many stories of joy, tragedy and breakthroughs of faith aplenty, I do not doubt.

My church is ramshackle, constantly in need of work and dishevelled, to say the least. I recently did some painting to bring some areas back up to spec. I am no painter, in truth, but decided that I could do enough of a job to save them from needing to pay someone to do it. I am trying to get the point across that the congregation, although not huge (or even large as it goes) has enough people who could offer even one single hour to help our beloved space.

This is incredibly ironic because for 50 years, I had no need for a church of my own. Who knows what the future holds? I had read and listened to all the great 'new-atheists' Hitchens, Dawkins and co, I could have pointed out the foolishness of it all...

Until one day I could not!

I still could not fully explain it to you, nor to me. However, my life has never felt more meaningful than these last couple of years. I do not have a single iota of doubt that I have found the way.

I recently started a project to share the word online, no preachiness no condescension or judgement, just in case there are people like me who think they are smart enough to know all the answers till someone shares one simple idea, that is actually not simple.

I fear that many have not been offered the word because so many are timid in their faith.

They should at least receive the invitation with zero pressure to act on it or even accept it. It could really help many people; it certainly helped this one 'know-it-all' sinner.

Although I was raised with Christian values I don't consider myself a religious Christian. But I certainly can appreciate the beauty of this church.

I was raised with virtually no religion at all, though I did read the bible a couple of times; I thought there were some epic, cool stories within. I always held (as you say) Christian values though.

I often think, what if the religious and non-religious alike all subscribed to these values, we would likely be in a far better place as a global society.

Thanks for sharing this treasure with us; long may it stand as a testament to the past and its long history.

Happy Monday lovely lady 😎🤍
