You just made me reminisce about the good 'ol days of smartphone photography. I had similar worries too, whenever I was shooting bright flowers like this one.

To help:

• get really close to the
  He petal.

• depending on your phone if you tap on the center, it should auto focus on the petal

• also if possible, you can reduce the brightness on your camera by double tapping and sliding down the exposure.

• also, try to feather the vignette so it doesn't look too sharp and distracting.
