Sweets from The Bakery in Rutland, Vermont. A strawberry and cream cookie plus a raspberry and pistachio brownie. We had lunch there on Wednesday. It serves breakfast and lunch plus bakes all the bread for Roots - a nearby restaurant with the same owner.
Its a great lunch spot. Fast. Good food. Casual spot. We shared some butternut squash soup sweetened with some apples in the recipe.
My wife had the quinqoa salad with spinach, sweet potato, goat cheese, red onion, dried cranberries and a maple vinaigrette. Prices here aren't bad either $8 for that salad.
I had a special BLT they were making with bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes of course plus some goat cheese and caramelized onions. Nice additions.
Then we took care of some shopping and other errands.
We did get our walk in before we left. Its about 35 minutes down to Rutland.
Today's flower bed documentation photography is sedum. We got this sedum from a neighbor a couple of years ago. It is just getting going still.
We also have some white sedum in a different spot. I got this from my sister in Kansas where its commonly called Live-Forever. Supposedly it came from my uncles place in Wisconsin. So thats some well travelled sedum 馃槅
