Rigazzi's Fine Italian Cuisine on the Hill in St. Louis. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hill,_St._Louis The Hill is a historically blue collar Italian neighborhood in St. Louis.
The Hill is near the original Budweiser brewery. And all of St. Louis loves its Budweiser.
Rigazzi's is also near the location of the old St. Louis Arena. Home of the St. Louis Blues from 1967 to 1994.
A little history in the vestibule of Rigazzi's - seats from the St. Louis Arena.
With a plaque explaining the history for the uninitiated 馃ぃBernie was king when I went to college in St. Louis. Good for 100 points a year (yeah points were easy to come by in the 1980s NHL lol).
Here is the real reason for my visit. Gino Cavallini! He was my favorite Blues player. Hard working, tough player, that always struggled to get quality ice time. He managed 20 goals one year. I remember he had a hat trick one game I attended. The St. Louis Dispatch story the next day said Gino Cavallini (thats Italian for hands of stone) had a hat trick last night lol This jersey was hanging at Rigazzi's in 1988 and still hanging in 2022! They have my patronage forever haha
Another Rigazzi's sign. They are famous for fishbowls of beer (32oz). That was probably a drawing card for me in college 馃榿
Final pic of street sign with Rigazzi's Place and The Hill. Great place to visit and not far off the freeway if you pass through St. Louis.
