Thanks. The wood is my kinda halfway Hugelkultur effort. Google that. The wood acts like a sponge and absorbs water. This helps with raised beds because they tend to dry out quickly. The wood will also decay over time which is good for the soil in many ways. Plus it speaks to my frugal side and limits the amount of good soil I have to buy 🙄
