We took a day trip to Randolph, Vermont. Its a very Vermont looking town nestled in the Green Mountains. New England vibes through out like this church.
Of course its too important of a town to only have one big church 馃檪
Unfortunately there are also some vacant storefronts like this old restaurant. This is also a very Vermont thing in the smaller towns off the beaten path like Randolph.
Plenty of activity on the other end of Main though.
The old brick storefronts are from a different era. Its fun to see them still in use.
Some have modernized and some embrace the nostalgia like this old time barber shop.
We drove over for lunch and walked around downtown.
We had lunch in the old train depot that is now a market and deli. The town still has Amtrak service but a smaller depot on the other side of the tracks now.
Another draw for the visit is this art supply shop.
One of my wife's favorite places to visit. Big selection of everything.
Lots of lovely old homes. Many of them maintained beautifully like this one.
Randolph has a nice old public library that unfortunately was under contstruction restricting decent photos.
Also a very nice performing arts center that is a bit of region draw since Randoph is not near any of the bigger towns in Vermont.
This sculpture is outside of the performing arts center.
Along with this plaque. Couldn't figure this out and no good info easily located online 馃 Its a pleasant shape to look at, maybe I should just take it as that.
