Beautiful blue morning at the lake 🙂 Nice blue skies in these photos from a few days ago. I wish they were back. Its been raining all day today 🙁 They have started pulling the docks out.

A few mushrooms are still out even though it has been very dry for the last couple of weeks. We have gone two weeks without rain which is a long stretch for Vermont.

Another hike up to a view yesterday. This is Snake Mountain overlook in Addison County, Vermont looking north. Its about an hour hike and 1,059 ft elevation gain to the top.

Got out for a nice afternoon hike today. Hiked the Chittenden Brook Trail in the Green Mountains of Vermont. The nearest town is Rochester, Vermont. There are actually two beaver ponds along the hike.

Silver Lake in the Green Mountains near Brandon, Addison County, Vermont Its an easy hike from Branbury State Park or Goshen Trailhead. Lake Dunmore is a nearby larger lake.

We have an unexpected beauty in our flower bed. We didn't plant any sunflowers this year because of a squirrel problem last year. Specifically, the squirrels took out all our sunflowers in one afternoon.

We got out for a nice #wednesdaywalk hike yesterday. We hiked along the Long Trail from the Brandon Gap to the new Sunrise Shelter. The hike was about 2.8 miles in and then 3.3 miles back 😆

Found some more fall fungi to photography while waiting for the fall foliage. I think this beauty is an American yellow fly agaric, a variant of Amanita. Wikipedia info here ---> Amanita chrysoblema

Out for a fall colors walk recently, the leaves are not that colorful yet. BUT found some nice colorful mushrooms 😁 Not sure about the ID on these mushrooms but they were picturesque.

Sometimes the colors of fall are in the little details. Like the dappled light on the forest floor together with the Indian cucumber root plant. The red blush on the leaves and the dark berries.

Found some photogenic mushrooms on a Labor Day hike yesterday. They appear to be Pholiota Squarrosoides. More info can be found on these two links mushroomexpert wikipedia Lovely little grouping of mushrooms

Lovely flower mural at Woods Market Garden near Brandon, Vermont on Route 7. The historic farm has 30 acres of organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. We stopped there for the first time today

More flower pictures today 🌼 the cool weather and rain has been kind to late season blooms. Squash blossoms are still coming and my neighbor's hibiscus is enormous.

Nothing says summer like blue skies. Fluffy white clouds. 70F with low humidity. Thats the dream Vermont summer. Throw in a lake. And life is good.

Overcast day creating dark water and crisp reflections on a small pond. The small pond is in northern Maine near Rangeley. We were walking late one afternoon. Our walk was along a logging road well off
