Last week, my future father-in-law just came to town, and you might have guess it, with parent in town, the lucky perks is always having nice food haha!

So, his student just opened a new cafe in Penang - Sous Vide Urban Cafe, and invited us over for a dinner.

My Fiance and I

When we asked the manager what does Sous Vide means?

She explained that Sous Vide is a French word, simply means a cooking method where food is cooked at 63 degree celsius. Though it takes a pretty long time to cook the meat, however slow cook, mid heat this kind of way helps to retain the nutrient and the moisture.

Little did we know, we were treated 4 course menu fine dining style.

Appetizer

Tomato broth

Main Course

The meat is cooked at 63 degree celsius, took like 7-8 hours to slow cook the meat evenly. Taste really good!

Dessert

Vanilla ice-cream wrapped with crepes and topped with peach and almond

Hot Dark Chocolate

Overall, it is a very full and good meal.
Thanks to my future father-in-law for his connection, that we get to have this kind of "atas" fine dining experience. (Atas means high class in Malay term, haha!)
